Be a Blessing

I want to share another blessing story that came our way: one of the C3 members wrote this: I just wanted to share my attempt at a blessing for someone that I have seen before on a few occasions, but never really taken the time to get to know. I frequent a convenience store on south Rangeline. Often times, I have noticed a homeless man sitting against the ice cooler with his canine companion close by. He always has a sleeping bag, tent bag, and a backpack. I took the time to introduce myself this time, taking the time to get his name and talk about the storm we went through, God and where life was taking each of us. We talked about how much we both appreciated the volunteers and first responders that had come to our community.
When I went inside to get a soft drink, I decided I wanted to do what I could to help this man. so, I folded a bill up and put it in my pocket to slip to him. I returned to have a final few words and to let him know he was be in my prayers. in the middle of our parting words, I stuck my hand out to give him another hand shake, and slipped him the folded bill. We said good buy to one another, he glanced into his hand knowing what I had done and to look at what he thought would be a dollar or two. The shock on his face as all i needed when he realized it was not a dollar but a $100 bill I had been saving. His face became blood red and his eyes began to water. As tears came down his cheeks, he said, "You got to be kidding me? Are you serious? I don't even know what to say to you, man! God bless you!" I told him that the man to be thanked was God. He is the One that takes care of me and my family. It is Him that allows me to give to others. Jesus is the Man!

Somebody bless somebody!

That blog just brought tears to my eyes. What a beautiful testimony and what a way to reach out to another. I was impressed without him even slipping him the money... I'm glad he talked to him about God and gave God the glory. Thanks for writing this and for sharing.
