Led By The Spirit

When a preacher steps up in front of his people he should have all ready spent many hours in prayer that God would anoint that moment. That God would anoint his words and the ears that ear the message that he has prayed would come from God.
This past Sunday once again I had the privilege of experiencing the anointing of God upon my own live and the lives of those that heard his message. Many people came forward for prayer and repentance. They were coming to confess anger, greed and pride. They were convicted by the anointing of the Holy Spirit to say NO to their sinful deeds. It was humbling to listen to them and to be able to pray over them.
Remember what the Apostle Paul tells us from Romans 8:12-16. If we are children of God, we are no longer under the obligation to sin! Sin and Satan do not have any power of us to continue in our sin. We must first simply OBEY God. Do what he asks us to do. To know that, we've got to get into the word. We've got to be listening to His voice through our teachers and through His Holy Word. Secondly, we've got to accept the love of our Father. We let Satan get into our heads with the whispers of how terrible we are because of our sins. When in reality, Jesus Christ died for our sins and they are washed away. We need to be diligent to continue confess our sins to Him and then accept His forgiveness and lived as if we were the most loved children in the world. Then Paul basically tells us to STOP IT! Starve our sins. But most of us will feel bad and guilty about our sins, but we won't stop sinning. The power of the Holy Spirit will give us the power to stop. But we have to start the engine by submitting to the Spirit's leading and then we can STOP IT! Lastly, realize who we are: WE ARE CHILDREN OF THE KING! Act like we've been redeemed. Act like our Father has the power to release us. Live for Him! Outlive the world, Satan and his lies about our sins. We are not what he says, we are CHILDREN OF THE KING! Say it again: WE ARE CHILDREN OF THE KING!
