Dreams for 2011

C3: For the next couple of days I want to share with C3 I’m going share some of my dreams for this awesome and wonderful church. These aren’t just dreams or plans that I just came up with here over the Christmas – New Year’s vacation time. No, these are dreams that I have began to work on right after I got here. I want you to know them! I’m afraid that over the past year, I have not let enough of you know about these dreams. I don’t think that I have talked about them enough from the stage and I want to apologize for all of that. I want you to know that over this next year, I’m going to try to talk about them, use them in our sermons, and just let you know about them as much as I can. I hope that these dreams will be the dreams of every member here at C3 and that you will realize that the leadership and staff of C3 are living their lives daily to see these all come to reality.

I want to see the people of CCC fall madly in love with Jesus!

I know what you are thinking: DUH! That’s okay, you can think that this is a “given” or an “obvious” fact. But I’m afraid that I haven’t mentioned it to you enough. I want you to see that my heart and desire as your pastor is to help every person that walks through our doors to fall madly in love with Jesus. Everything that we design as a series, event or just our daily duties are for helping each one of us grow madly in-love with Jesus! That’s why I beg you to get into our worship, find a place to study with us and why I am always letting you know of all the areas that we could use more and more volunteers. You get into worship, our studies and family groups, you volunteer and invest your time. You’ll start to see how much in love with Jesus you are.

I want to see this church become a place where people without Jesus, come to, because of the grace that they experience here.

Yes, I want us to be a place that the people who do not have a relationship with Jesus will feel comfortable to come to and know that here, not just a few, but an entire group of people love them and care about them. The grace of Jesus must be felt as well as heard! Please realize that every new person that walks through our doors is a person or family that is desperate for something to happen. The prayers of the leadership and staff have been over the week that that is exactly what will happen here every Sunday. That someone that needs to hear and feel grace will have that experience through parking attendants, our greeters, Welcome Center volunteers and through what takes place up on the stage. It’s not easy, I know that we all have our own set of problems and issues, but we must give them over the God so that he can use our lives to touch and help Him redeem the souls of those that are lost.
